About us:
OUR HISTORY
Our story dates back to the 1980s when our founder, Don Manuel Casado, acquired the estate, driven by his great passion for the countryside and his personal connection to the rural world. With 500 hectares, our estate features various agricultural operations, including vineyards, olive groves, cereal fields, and oak forests.
After 25 years of implementing continuous improvements in our viticulture and more than 10 years of conducting different production trials, we decided to begin bottling our own wines under the brand Quinta de Aves.
Thanks to the quality of our grapes, resulting from our knowledge and dedication in the field, along with the support of excellent technicians and winemakers, we launched our first wines to the market for both national and international distribution.
Our Values
Quinta de Aves produces wines using exclusively grapes from our vineyards located on the estate, next to the winery.
As a winery aware that the environment we are in is our greatest asset and distinguishing feature, it was natural for us to evolve into a SUSTAINABLE, ORGANIC, and VEGAN winery.
energy efficiency
Solar panels, water tanks, drip irrigation system, parcel sectorization of the irrigation facilities with digital control, underground barrel room, etc..
Organic certification
We work with organic farming techniques, and after several years of effort, we obtained Official Organic Certification in 2023.
vegan clarifications
We clarify our wines by replacing animal-derived gelatin with plant-based alternatives.
THE TEAM
Our technical team, skilled in both enology and viticulture theams, forms a perfect tandem to ensure all our values are reflected in our wines.
Factors such as climate change and the adaptation to it, make us addapt our project and keep evolving. Based on this, we are introducing varieties and cultivation techniques that respond well both viticulturally and enologically to these circumstances.
We focus on grape varieties that perform well in adverse situations such as drought and extreme heat, and we adapt the structure of our vineyard plantings accordingly.
